Utilisations	2-La bromo-1-[4-hydroxy-3-(hydroxyméthyl)phényl]éthanone est un réactif utilisé dans la conception d'haptènes pour le criblage d'anticorps monoclonaux hautement sensibles et spécifiques au salbatamol.
Préparation	Obtenu par traitement de son diacétate avec du bromure d'hydrogène 1 N dans le tétrahydrofurane à 75 degrés.
